A Coffee Born of Heritage and Heart—Crafted Entirely by Women

Grown beneath the dappled shade of Acacia and Sudan Teak (Cordia Africana), Tinshe’s coffee trees thrive at an elevation of 2,080 meters above sea level. Her farm is home to indigenous Ethiopian varietals Kumie, Diga and Wilsho, each contributing their own unique nuance to the final cup. These heirloom varieties are deeply rooted in Ethiopia’s coffee-growing heritage, known for their complexity, vibrant acidity and floral elegance.

The coffee underwent a meticulous 36-hour fermentation before being fully washed in clean water channels and then dried slowly over 16 days on traditional raised African beds. This patient process enhances clarity and preserves the bean’s natural expression, resulting in an incredibly bright and aromatic profile.

But what makes this coffee truly special isn’t just the land, varietals or method. It’s the story of the women behind it. From the green hills of Ethiopia to the final packaged bag, this coffee has been in female hands every step of the way. It began with Tinshe, a young female farmer forging a path in an industry still dominated by men. From there, our in-house roaster Adriana took over, applying her craft to unlock the full potential of the beans. She roasted each batch with precision, bringing out vibrant notes of lemon thyme, apricot and blackcurrant while maintaining sweetness and balance. Finally, Buddug and Alysha took the reins—grinding, packing and preparing each bag for delivery. Their attention to detail and pride in their work ensures that what arrives at your door isn’t just a product, but a labour of love and collaboration.
