UK COFFEE WEEK X COALTOWN COFFEE

We’re excited to celebrate UK Coffee Week and support coffee-growing communities! To celebrate from the 14th-18th October, 10% of all Minca coffee bag sales will be donated to the WaterAid project in Bugesera, Rwanda. In Rwanda over 46,000 people lack access to clean water and sanitation.

Hundreds of coffee shops, restaurants, roasters and retailers take part every year by donating, running events and competitions, and engaging their customers in this exciting and valuable campaign.

Today, 703 million people around the world don’t have access to clean water. The majority live in isolated, rural areas – the same areas growing our coffee. UK Coffee Week raises funds for Project Waterfall, the charity that provides clean water, sanitation and education to coffee-growing communities across the world

How can you help?

Purchase a Minca coffee bag between 8:30 AM on October 14th TO 5:30PM on October THE 18th at either of our Espresso Bars or on our retail website.

Together, we can make a meaningful impact on the lives of those who grow our coffee!

Where are the proceeds going?

We’re raising funds for a project in the Bugesera district of Rwanda, one of the regions hardest hit by water scarcity. Here, over 46,000 people lack access to clean water and proper sanitation, which impacts health, education, and economic growth.

The funds raised will go towards building sustainable water systems, improving sanitation facilities, and promoting hygiene education. By ensuring clean water access, we’re helping reduce waterborne diseases, freeing up time for women and children (who often bear the burden of fetching water), and creating opportunities for education and livelihoods.

Join us this week to celebrate coffee and make a meaningful impact on the lives of those who grow it!
