Grind Information
Please note, our espresso grind is suitable for most home coffee machines. If you have a commercial grade coffee machine, E.g. Linea Mini, then please add an order note in your basket, requesting commercial espresso grind.
We would always recommend that you use a grinder at home in order to achieve the grind suitable for your particular brewing equipment, but we appreciate that this is not always possible, so we do offer our coffee as ground. We offer grind options that we think would achieve the best results from the numerous variations of machines and equipment that are available to consumers, but we cannot guarantee that our ground options will work with every unique set up.

Black Gold No3
We serve Black Gold daily at our Espresso Bar alongside our other sensational coffee offerings. It’s favoured by many and part of people’s daily routines, and we couldn’t be more proud of it. Over the years Black Gold has been featured in many Great taste awards and become the coffee of choice within cafes across the UK.
Black Gold is hand-roasted to just beyond first crack to give it a rich espresso zing while still retaining the natural flavours gained at origin. Its rich chocolate and biscuit base make it very drinkable. It’s a post-blended coffee, currently made up of Fazenda do Salto, Minca, and Finca El Parisio.
01. Brazil
Fazenda Do Salto
A family owned farm, with a history that goes back 100 years!
The name of the farm is related to the other passion of the family, namely horses. ‘Salto’ means ‘Jump’ in Portuguese and the family achieved many prizes in competitions.
Otávio’s parents have been in the coffee business for over a century so coffee was in his blood even before he was born. Otávio and the team have developed a static drying technique which they believe helps develop flavour, body and aromas in the cup. At fazenda do salto Almost all of the energy is generated from natural methods, either solar energy or through recycled by-products from the farm itself.
02. Peru
Minca / junin, stapido
Minca, a Quechua term from the Andes, signifies the close camaraderie among farmers. The coffee comes from seven farmers in Junín, Peru’s largest coffee-producing region. Through the Volcafe Way program, these farmers receive regular visits from agronomists aiming for sustainable profitability. Training focuses on production standards, water treatment, and agroforestry.
Junín is protected by the Andes and offers ideal conditions for agriculture. The landscape holds and abundance of water supplies and fertile soils.
03. Honduras
Finca El Parisio
Working with the Eguigurems family, Leonel Cañada, the foreman of Finca El Cedros oversees coffee production with meticulous care. Situated in El Paraiso, a region well known for producing high-quality coffees in Honduras, the high altitudes and ideal microclimate create a superb environment for cultivating specialty coffee.
Cherry is selectively handpicked to ensure only the highest quality coffee. Ripe cherry is laid on raised beds and sundried. Cherry is turned frequently to ensure even drying.
